Based in the New Haven area of Connecticut, the Ron Bonito Big Band is available for concerts, dances, and other events. The band comprises musicians who are mostly retired from their life-long professions and enjoy playing big band jazz, and playing for audiences who also enjoy this music. We play favorite original arrangements from the swing band era of the 40’s such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington; to 50’s and 60’s big bands like Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, and Maynard Ferguson; and popular 20th-century singers including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Bublé, Bobby Darin, Jimmy Buffett, and Neil Diamond.
